At Watermelon, we take the privacy of end users and customers seriously. We never collect or use data without explicit consent. This page provides an overview of how Watermelon protects privacy.

1. Privacy Protection

Watermelon’s platform is designed with customer privacy at its core. Since sensitive conversational data is involved, Watermelon ensures privacy by allowing users to interact with chatbots without sharing personal information.

2. Customer Data and Control

All customer data within the Watermelon platform is securely stored on Google servers. Customers retain full control over their data, which will never be used by third parties without explicit permission. We provide a data processing agreement to ensure transparency for end users.

Chatbots store conversation data without tracking users or identifying individuals. Even if customer-specific data is collected, it can be deleted at any time. Additionally, there is an option for automated data deletion.

3. Security and Privacy Policies

For more details on our security and privacy policies, please refer to our website’s Terms of Service.

4. ISO 27001 Certification

We use specific Google services, such as Google Cloud, to host our platform. These services are certified to comply with the ISO/IEC 27001 standard for information security management, ensuring a secure environment.

5. Data Retention

Watermelon allows flexible retention settings for conversation data. Customers can configure retention periods ranging from one week to two years. If no setting is specified, data is stored for a maximum of three years.

6. Data Exchange with OpenAI

To ensure accurate, human-like conversations in Watermelon’s chatbots, specific data is shared with OpenAI. This data includes user questions, prompts, and domain knowledge, which are stored in OpenAI’s database for up to 30 days before permanent deletion. These data are not used for training OpenAI models, ensuring no risk of exposure to other OpenAI users. Privacy and security are fully maintained.

7.Commitment to Privacy and Security

Watermelon prioritizes the privacy of customers and their clients. We welcome suggestions for improvement. Feedback will help us implement features such as multi-factor authentication (MFA), single sign-on (SSO), and two-factor authentication (2FA). As an initial step, we are working on implementing 2FA.
